After some time in 1978 Bahawalpur Board was also established independently and at last 1989 Dera Ghazi Khan board also got separated therefore now jurisdiction of Multan board consist of districts Multan, Khanewal, Vehari and Lodhran. These positive changes were because population was increased time to time and therefore it was separated. Punjab education commission was formed in the year 2005 by government of Punjab that was to conduct and monitor examination for 5th and 8th class. Many colleges and schools are affiliated with the board. Matric consist of two parts that is part I and part II, part I is 9th class and part II 10th class. Examination for matric starts in the month of March and April. Registration for examination starts in the month of January and these forms are provided online and posted to the affiliated colleges. After registration date sheets and roll number slips are provided to students in the month February this year also examination were conducted in the month of March and April.
