Government of Multan was established on 30th march 1968 that was by the ordinance of government of west Pakistan similarly after that establishment of educational board was also required therefore independent board was formed that was board of intermediate and secondary education Multan abbreviated as BISE there were many changes made to this board most prominent changes include worth mentioning are It previously contained Dera Ghazi Khan, Quetta, Kallat and Bahawalpur in its Jurisdiction but in 1968 Quetta and Kallat separated.

After some time in 1978 Bahawalpur Board was also established independently and at last 1989 Dera Ghazi Khan board also got separated therefore now jurisdiction of Multan board consist of districts Multan, Khanewal, Vehari and Lodhran. These positive changes were because population was increased time to time and therefore it was separated. Punjab education commission was formed in the year 2005 by government of Punjab that was to conduct and monitor examination for 5th and 8th class. Many colleges and schools are affiliated with the board. Matric consist of two parts that is part I and part II, part I is 9th class and part II 10th class. Examination for matric starts in the month of March and April. Registration for examination starts in the month of January and these forms are provided online and posted to the affiliated colleges. After registration date sheets and roll number slips are provided to students in the month February this year also examination were conducted in the month of March and April. Every year large number of students appear in examinations and result will be announced in the month of June or July that will be declared on the official website of the board we will also display them on our website.
